Angelena has been teaching chair yoga as a consultant to Massachusetts Housing and Finance Agency, through their Tenant Assistance Programs since 1997. All the many benefits of Yoga may be achieved while sitting in a chair or using the chair for balance while standing. These classes are appreciated by elders or those recovering from an illness or surgery and therefore may have limited endurance or mobility. They are offered in residential apartment complexes or privately in the home. Learning and practicing Chair Yoga is also helpful for those who sit, working long hours, at a desk. Participants learn how to safely stretch and strengthen the entire body, relax the mind, practice breathing techniques, and other tools for healthful living. For more information, call
